Braintree Beekeepers is your local gateway to beekeeping education and community. We believe that honeybees are more than just producers of liquid gold—they are the heartbeat of our local ecosystem.

What we do

Education & Mentorship – From introductory courses and mentoring to advanced hive management and formal qualifications, we help our members grow their skills.
Community Meetings – Regular gatherings to socialise and discuss seasonal challenges. Learning from each other and our expert speakers.
Pollinator Advocacy – Working within the Braintree district to raise awareness about the importance of biodiversity and bee-friendly practices.
Local Honey – Connecting the community with the purest, local Essex honey and other products produced by our members.
Swarm Removal – Helping manage the safe and ethical removal of honeybee swarms.
